College Grant PROGRAM


The Town and Country Garden Club of Lancaster offers a scholarship for $1500.00 each year to a deserving senior who is continuing their education in the following studies:

Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Agronomy, Biology (excluding Pre-Med), Botany, Dairy Production, Environmental Control City Planning, Flora Culture, Horticulture, Land Management, Landscape Design, Forestry, Wildlife Sciences and Urban Planning.

The attached application should be completed: (a) Three letters of recommendation (can be from a teacher, mentor, guidance counselor, place of employment), (b) your most recent high school transcript, (c) your personal essay explaining why you have chosen this course of study, (d) a small bio about yourself and your activities should be included.
These six items should be mailed by March 15 to:

Only high school, college or vocational school students who are residents of Lancaster County, PA, are eligible.

The club hosts a plant faire and bus trips to fund the scholarship fund.  The amounts available each year vary based on the success of our fund raisers.  We generally offer $1000 - $1500 scholarships.
